Everton manager Moyes desperate for reinforcements before start of season

manager David Moyes admits he urgently needs to bring new players to the club as the start of the season approaches.
Moyes has been frustrated in his attempts to make signings during the summer and has still to bring any fresh faces to Goodison Park.
Chairman Bill Kenwright pleaded for patience last week and recognised Moyes is lacking depth in his squad.

Plenty to ponder: Moyes and Kenwright know they need new recruits
Kenwright confirmed he was 'desperately keen' to see Moyes land his targets.
Now Moyes, whose team beat Colorado Rapids 2-1 on Sunday night, is determined to become involved in the close-season spending.
Everton finished fifth in last season's Barclays Premier League, and the manager is worried they have left it late to make their signings.
'I was hoping to have added to the squad by now and brought a few in to give the players a lift,' Moyes told Everton's official website.
'It's not just a new face we need - it's new faces. My big concern is that anybody we bring in now probably won't be ready to start the Premier League season.
'It's now getting to the stage where you are wondering how long it takes for new players to settle.
'I'm hoping we will have some in before the start of the season. But I'm not going to turn around and say I am totally confident because you never know what happens.'
