Everton set their sights on Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell

Everton are keeping their sights on Chelsea midfielder Steve Sidwell as manager David Moyes plans his summer recruitment drive.

Wanted: Steve Sidwell

Moyes has a long-standing interest in the player who started his career with Arsenal but Middlesbrough are favourites to take him in a £5m deal.

Everton are also being linked with Spain winger Joaquin, one of the players who looks certain to leave Valencia because of their financial problems.

But there is little chance of the 26-year-old moving to Merseyside because of the high fee he will command.
