Everton to make late decision on Johnson

Everton boss Davis Moyes has an injury doubt over striker Andrew Johnson for the Newcastle trip, the England man - called up again on Friday by Steve McClaren along with Lescott and Phil Neville - has a groin problem.

Johnson failed a late fitness test in Ukraine, and Moyes said: "We will have to look at a few of the lads, they are tired after the long trip, but obviously full of confidence now.

"I will wait to see how Andy trains ahead of the Newcastle game before making a decision."

Moyes must also decide whether to continue with teenager Victor Anichebe in the side ahead of £11million man Ayegbeni Yakubu, who has disappointed in recent weeks.
