The 26-year-old arrived in Glasgow yesterday after quitting the winter training of his club, Metalist Kharkiv, in Dubai at the invitation of the SPL champions.
Capped three times for his country and a non-playing member of Poland's World Cup squad in 2006, Gancarczyk will train at Lennoxtown this week with a view to proving he can win a £750,000 switch to the SPL.

Chance to win a deal: Seweryn Gancarczyk hopes to swap the Ukrainian league for the SPL
Spotted by Parkhead scouts during a UEFA Cup game against Everton earlier this season, the six-footer was also linked with Rangers and Birmingham City in the Polish press.
Gordon Strachan has, however, secured first option on a player who has played almost the whole of his senior career in Ukraine.
Celtic were unavailable for comment on Gancarczyk yesterday but have been scouring the Continent for left-backs after being forced to field central defender Darren O'Dea in the problem slot whenever Lee Naylor was unavailable.
Also up for assessment this week will be U.S.A international goalkeeper Brad Guzan.
The 23-year-old played for his country against Sweden on Saturday and now hopes to win a move to Parkhead.
He admitted: "It's always exciting when a club such as Celtic are interested in you. I know all about Celtic - it's a world-renowned club with a wonderful history."
As one Pole prepares to check in at Parkhead this week, the exit door looms once again for striker Maciej Zurawski. The 31-year-old hopes to secure a transfer out of Scotland after seeing a move to LA Galaxy fall through.
The Americans baulked at a near £1million asking price, while Columbus Crew are the latest MLS side to show an interest.
Former Everton striker Robert Warzycha is assistant coach at Columbus and has set his heart on adding a fellow countryman to his squad.
"Maciej is determined to change club," said Warzycha. "He really wants to play in Euro 2008. I talked with him several times and I've told him about the footballing philosophy of our coach Sigi Schmid.
"There are some financial facts to be sorted out but that's not my job."
