Ex-Palace chairman Goldberg backs Jordan's 'sensible' decision to sell

Former Crystal Palace chairman Mark Goldberg has backed owner Simon Jordan's decision to sell the club.

Goldberg, who took control of Palace for a year in 1998, believes it is right for Jordan to go after eight years at the helm.

'It's probably a sensible decision for him,' he says.

The time is right: Jordan will sell Crystal Palace at the end of this season

'He has done what he can for Palace and done a wonderful job and possibly he feels he doesn't get the appreciation for what he has done.

'But he is facing an unending battle to please everyone and I think it's a task that's almost impossible.'
