Ex-world record holder Jackson insists: Life should mean life for Chambers

Former 110metres hurdles world record holder Colin Jackson believes Dwain
Chambers should be banned for life from athletics.
Legal challenge: Chambers
Chambers goes to the High Court today to obtain a temporary injunction allowing him to compete at the Olympics in Beijing.
The Belgrave Harrier is challenging the British Olympic Association's bylaw which bans all those who have incurred drug bans from representing Great Britain at future Games.
Chambers tested positive for THG in 2003 and received a two-year ban.
The 30-year-old won the 100metres at the Olympic trials last weekend which
means he will almost certainly be named for the team if he wins his legal
challenge.
However, former world champion Jackson does not want Chambers in Beijing and instead has called for a lifetime ban.
He said: 'Dwain Chambers' success at the Olympic trials hasn't changed my mind in any way - I still don't think he should be allowed to go to the Olympic Games.
'I think these people should have a complete life ban. He knew the rules of
our sport and the British Olympic Association prior to taking drugs and he took
the risk.
'So I'm not quite sure why he's even in court trying to contest something that
he knew was out there a very long time ago.'
GB legend: Colin Jackson believes Chambers should accept his punishment
The Welshman added: 'The other members of Team GB are all going to have their
own opinions on whether it should be allowed that drug takers are able to walk
shoulder to shoulder with them when they've worked really hard and been really
pure and clean.
'And when somebody like Dwain is walking alongside with them - if he does go
to the Games - you can see why people would have a slightly sour taste in their
mouth.'
