FA go all Out to trace Cup final touts
24 April 2009
A large number of Chelsea and Everton supporters are set to miss out on seeing the match as the two clubs have been only allocated 25,000 tickets each, for a stadium that holds 90,000.
While the FA, under the leadership of Lord Triesman, are encouraging supporters to buy a ticket through official means, they want any who don't to send their 'resold' ticket to them after the match so that they can trace its origin. The option is already open for any supporter who bought one off a tout for the semi-finals at the weekend.
In order to generate support for their campaign, they insist that no fan will be punished if they co-operate.
Meanwhile, Everton have won the right to wear their traditional blue shirt at the Cup final at Wembley on 30 May. Chelsea lost the toss of the coin and will have to wear their yellow change kit instead.
