Flintoff gets good news after scan

Flintoff, 31, made a round trip to Jamaica yesterday, accompanied by team doctor Mike Stone, after complaining of a side strain.
However, the results, assessed back in the UK by the England and Wales Cricket Board's chief medical officer Nick Peirce, are encouraging at the start of England's four-Test tour.
"The scan showed no major damage and we will continue to assess Andrew daily," said an England team spokesman.
The First Test begins at Sabina Park, Jamaica, a week tomorrow. England still have worries over Owais Shah who has a scratched cornea. In his absence, England had little problem dismantling their St Kitts and Nevis opponents on the final day of their first warm-up game.
Skipper Andrew Strauss raced to a century today — England's third of the match after Shah and Kevin Pietersen reached three figures in the first innings — as the tourists stacked up a lead of 350.
England's bosses have confirmed that Flintoff, Pietersen and other top players will be able to appear in the 2010 Indian Premier League as well as this April's event.
IPL officials were demanding a three-week commitment for both years and, now that it has been received, Flintoff and Co can be auctioned on 6 February.
