Flintoff's milestone lifts dire England

Andrew Flintoff's 200th Test wicket gave England supporters something to celebrate at Edgbaston this afternoon but South Africa were still in charge of the Third npower Test.

Flintoff, who has played 68 matches for his country and one for a World XI, dismissed Neil McKenzie lbw after the opener had reached 72.

Jimmy Anderson also did his best to lift England after yesterday's desperate batting display which saw the home team bowled out for 231. The paceman held a brilliant return catch to send back Hashim Amla (nine).

But even those two magical moments could not throw South Africa off the scent as they battled to 198 for four and looked set for a big first innings lead.
