Fly facing Festival fitness battle, admits Mullins

The County Carlow trainer sent out Cooldine and Sicilian Secret to win at the Dublin track, with both on course for Prestbury Park next month.
Sicilian Secret is set to be among Mullins's Cheltenham Bumper squad while Cooldine will attempt a first win under rules over three miles in the RSA Chase, which will not feature Paul Nicholls's Breedsbreeze after the trainer withdrew the gelding today.
Mullins said: "We were delighted with Cooldine. He jumped really well and showed great powers of reserve as he looked beaten and then came back to win. I have no doubts about him getting the trip."
Yesterday's Deloitte Novices' Hurdle looked at Mullins's mercy when both Hurricane Fly and Cousin Vinny were declared but, with the former missing the race due to a setback and the latter suffering a final flight fall, the contest went to Noel Meade's Pandorama.
Mullins reported Hurricane Fly to be "sore" this morning and the five-year-old is set for a week on the sidelines.
"The vet who saw him yesterday thought it might take six to eight days to heal and it would have to be that as I have to get him ready for Cheltenham," said Mullins.
"We just have to hope he recovers in time. Luckily enough I think we had got plenty of work into him, which gives me a chance to give him a little easy time and hopefully get him right for Cheltenham."
Meanwhile, Cousin Vinny is none the worse today following his fall, but Mullins has still to make a decision on his likely target at Cheltenham.
He added: "He's fine this morning and the Supreme Novices' will certainly be a race I will look at for him now, but I've got Hurricane Fly and Kempes who could run in that."
