Flying Theo can run and run . . . so now it's time to let him loose for longer, Arsene

For one scintillating moment, we finally saw why Arsene Wenger invested £9.1million in teenager Theo Walcott. The young English winger came off the bench late in the second half to rip Liverpool apart and set up Emmanuel Adebayor's second goal for Arsenal.

Wenger now needs a win at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday to keep his season alive. What better stage to give Walcott than the Theatre of Dreams, where his pace would terrorise a Manchester United defence possibly missing Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand?

Gael Clichy summed up Walcott when he said: "We know Theo is really quick and we know he is a good player and the run he made for our second goal was a good thing. And at the end of the run he sent in a great ball. So it's great. But at the end of the day we didn't win."

All Gooners would agree, so maybe it's time for Wenger to go for broke and give Walcott a start against United. What have you got to lose, Arsene?
