Bolivian derby match turns violent

South American football matches have an uncanny knack of stirring up trouble and an encounter in the Bolivian league proved no exception.

The derby match between Blooming and Oriente Petrolero turned nasty after Oriente's Leonardo Medina was sent-off for an elbow on opponent Sergio Jauregui.

Chaos quickly ensued as Jauregui sought retribution with a flying kung-fu kick to the face of Medina.

Jauregui was promptly dismissed and is now said to be in hiding following his actions.
