Carlo Ancelotti looks to end feud ahead of Jose Mourinho's return
15 March 2010
The pair have been feuding since their days as rival bosses in Milan last season with Mourinho once claiming, "Ancelotti is no friend of mine".
But with the Portguese returning to Stamford Bridge for the first time since he was sacked in September 2007, Ancelotti today revealed he was prepared to put past differences behind him.
He said: "For sure, if he wants, after the game we can have a good conversation. This can happen regardless of the result."
Chelsea must overturn a 2-1 first leg deficit to join Arsenal and Manchester United in the quarter-finals and in-form Florent Malouda today insisted the players will not be thinking about their former boss at kick-off.
The France international said: "We're not thinking about history, we're trying to create history. What happened is the past, we don't care. We're just looking to go through tomorrow evening. I hope it is a great day for Chelsea and the manager.
"We expect a difficult game from Inter. I would say that it's more important for the fans than the players. We just want to beat Inter, as Inter coach we want to beat him too. It's going to be an emotional game for him, but for us you could see from the first game that it was not disturbing for the players."
