Chelsea and Arsenal eye Lille star Eden Hazard

Arsenal and Chelsea watched Lille star Eden Hazard in action against Paris Saint Germain last weekend as they consider their transfer plans for next season.
Representatives from Manchester United and Liverpool were also at the Parc des Princes to check on the Belgian playmaker, who is one of the most highly-rated young players in Europe. Hazard is almost certain to leave the French club next summer, although it is unlikely he would depart before then.
The goalless draw between two of France's strongest sides was the fifth time Chelsea have watched him this season, while Arsenal have also kept a close eye on the 20-year-old.
With Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas seeking to rejuvenate his squad during the summer, Hazard is a player who seems to be high on the Blues' list, although he is valued at about £35million by his club.
Chelsea are also planning to make a move for Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell next month but face stiff competition from Manchester United.
Rodwell has been on the club's wish-list for some time as he fits their requirement to sign younger talent to freshen up an ageing squad.
The 20-year-old, who made his England debut against Spain last month, is valued at £20m by Everton and they may be prepared to cash in to improve their financial situation.
There is a suspicion at Chelsea that news of their interest has been leaked in order to spark a bidding war with United as the champions also look to strengthen in midfield.
Chelsea want to make two signings, in January with the club set to step up their interest in England and Bolton defender Gary Cahill.
