David Luiz and Gary Cahill are made to work harder by Andre Villas-Boas

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has been working overtime with centre-halves Gary Cahill and
David Luiz in training to improve their defensive partnership.
The duo were badly exposed in the 3-1 defeat at Napoli in midweek but will continue to be paired together because of injuries. Captain John Terry (knee) has been ruled out until April while Jose Bosingwa (hamstring) is also sidelined so Branislav Ivanovic has to play at right-back.
Chelsea have not kept a clean sheet in the five games since Terry was ruled out and are in desperate need of a good result against Cahill's former club Bolton tomorrow to maintain their hopes of finishing in the top four.
Villas-Boas is confident that the two under-fire defenders can help the team get their season back on track and said: "We are trying to fine-tune their partnership for us to be more stable defensively.
"I don't think it's a problem regarding communication because both of them are very vocal.
"Gary speaks a lot and organises the defence. It's just that it's a new partnership and it takes time."
Ivanovic is also adamant the club can cope without Terry as long as everyone plays their part and said: "He is our captain and I would like to see him back in action soon but if he is not able to play then we have to be strong and do everything to not make it feel like he is missing.
"David and Gary are quite new to the team and were playing only their third game together against Napoli so they need time.
"From my side I don't want to protect or defend anybody but all these things are about the team."
Meanwhile, Fernando Torres's season took a turn for the worse today when he was dropped from Spain's squad for the friendly with Venezuela in Malaga next Wednesday.
