Edinson Cavani eyes Premier League move

Edinson Cavani will quit Napoli this summer if Chelsea knock them out of the Champions League and has targeted a move to the Premier League.
The Uruguayan is one of the most dangerous forwards in Europe and poses a major threat to the Blues' hopes of progress when the clubs meet at the San Paolo tonight.
Cavani agreed a new five‑year deal with Napoli last May but Standard Sport understands he wants his next move to be to England. Cavani - valued by Napoli at around £27million - is the club's top earner on about £1.7m per year, and it is believed he would be looking for a substantial rise to increase his salary to between £4m-£5m a year.
Cavani has been watched by Chelsea scouts on a number of occasions this term, and there is also interest from Tottenham, who are believed to have made a check on the 25-year-old in last Friday's 3-0 win at Fiorentina in Serie A, when Cavani scored twice.
Manchester City are also known to admire the striker, who scored three times in two matches against them in the group stages to help Napoli qualify at their expense.
Cavani is strong, quick and mobile, and scored 33 goals in his debut season with Napoli and 22 this time around.
With Didier Drogba 34 next month and Fernando
Torres still struggling, he remains high on Chelsea's list of targets, although Champions League qualification would be vital to their chances of securing his services. Spurs, too, will need a centre‑forward if they cannot bridge the gap in wages to make Emmanuel Adebayor's loan move from City permanent.
Despite Premier League clubs' difficulties in the Champions League - only Chelsea and Arsenal qualified for the second stage and Arsenal are 4-0 down against AC Milan - English football has not lost its attraction for Cavani.
As intense as the game is here, players from the heavily-scrutinised world of Serie A are often pleasantly surprised when they move to the Premier League. If Napoli lose this tie, it is Cavani's most likely destination in the summer.
