England? I'm just trying to fight off Jack the lad at AFC

It was nice reading that someone of Ray Clemence's stature - he's a goalkeeper I have always looked up to and is part of the backroom staff with the national side - supposedly came to see me play recently.
The manager also said scouts from other clubs have been attending our games as they're interested in signing me, however, I'm not taking any notice.
My only thoughts right now are helping AFC continue our good form in League Two and there is no doubt that I am better off playing regular football than going to a higher division and just turning out for the reserves.
I am ambitious like any young man. It would be hard for me to leave this club, though, because they are so close to my heart having supported the Crazy Gang as a kid.
As things stand, I will have contract talks with the club at the end of the season. I have an option for another year and it is up to the club whether they will trigger it or not. Of course, that depends on how well I play, so it is no good thinking too far ahead at this stage.
This is my first season in the Football League so I'm not getting carried away by who is coming to look at me. Besides, I have enough to worry about at AFC because there is no doubt that Jack is going to be a great keeper.
He is a couple of years younger than me but he showed in our victory over Stevenage in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, when he started instead of me, that he is ready to be in the team.
The club really rate him and I know they tried to send him out on loan in the summer so he could get first-team football.
I think it is something they will look into again but, in the meantime, I am certainly looking over my shoulder at the threat he provides.
There is no doubt, though, that the spirit in the camp is as high as ever.
Anyone fortunate enough to see us in action in the pool at The Malden Centre on Monday can vouch for that.
We went there to do some training as a bit of a break from the norm and it involved working out in the pool. However, a few of the guys were flexing their muscles and having races between themselves afterwards and I think it made some of the grannies' eyes pop out!
Now our focus is on getting our fifth League win in a row.
It won't be easy against Crewe on Saturday but it will set us up perfectly for the following match against Crawley, who were promoted with us from the Conference last season.
I know the fans are looking forward to that match in particular and with the two teams second and third in the table, there could be a lot to play for.
