Harry Redknapp's suit raises £7,500 for cancer charity

The suit worn by Harry Redknapp when a barrel of water was poured over him by Tottenham players has raised £7,500 in a charity auction.

The boss was drenched during a TV interview as his side celebrated beating Manchester City last week to clinch fourth spot in the League.

Cancer charity Orchid will benefit from the sale organised by talkSPORT.

The winning bid came from Spurs season-ticket holder and sports memorabilia collector Mark Banner.

The 35-year-old self-employed businessman said: "As a lifelong Spurs fan I never thought I'd see the day when they would be in the Champions League. It's a dream come true and the chance to own a little piece of Spurs history was just too good to turn down.

"It will take pride of place alongside my signed Gazza and Glen Hoddle shirts!"
