Keeper Kelvin Davis set to sign for West Ham

Goalkeeper Kelvin Davis is expected to sign for West Ham by the end of the week.

The 32-year-old is training with the Hammers after his deal at Southampton expired and will act as cover for Robert Green.

One notable absentee as the squad returned to training yesterday was full-back Lucas Neill.

There had been speculation that Neill, who had initially rejected a new contract, had changed his mind and was ready to re-sign but Turkish club Galatasaray are set to offer the Aussie a better deal.
