Robbie Fowler looks set to join Blackburn on a pay-as-you-play deal after pricing himself out of a move to Norwegians SK Brann.

The former Liverpool and England striker, 33, was linked with a return to Cardiff but he is expected to sign a short-term deal at Ewood Park next week.
