Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric is aiming to appoint a new manager no later than June 15.
Mandaric is searching for the club's sixth new boss since he completed his £25million-plus takeover at the Walkers Stadium in February 2007.
Ian Holloway parted company with Leicester last week following the club's relegation to the third tier for the first time in its history.

Billy Davies, Steve Cotterill and Paul Lambert have all been linked with the job, but Mandaric insists his search will not be limited to managers who are currently out of work.
Blackpool boss and former Foxes player Simon Grayson has also been touted as Holloway's successor.
Mandaric told the club's official website: "We have started (the process of finding a new manager) and my goal is to make an appointment no later than June 15.
"This gives us time to work out what we need for the new season and to work on things in pre-season.
"We are looking at both managers who are out of work and at clubs, we are looking for the right person to come here and correct this accident that took place here.
"We need someone who will take us out of this division next season, that is all that matters."
Asked about the names that have been linked with the job, Mandaric added: "There are a lot of names and a lot of interest but it would be unfair to speak of any individuals yet."
