Peter Gilbert, the player at the centre of a poaching row between Sheffield Wednesday and former manager Paul Sturrock at Plymouth has had a transfer request rejected.
It emerged last night that defender Gilbert asked for a move following what Wednesday claimed to be an illegal approach from Plymouth.
The Hillsborough board, who have made an official complaint to the Football League, are holding Gilbert to his last season on contract.
