Fulham let Baird go on the cheap

Fulham have put flop Chris Baird up for sale - at half-price.

The defender was signed from Southampton for £3m last summer by Lawrie Sanchez, but current boss Roy Hodgson has decided he does not need Baird and will offload him for £1.5m.

Saints were keen on taking him back when Nigel Pearson was in charge, but that move has now stalled so Fulham are trying to find a buyer.

Moritz Volz also seems set to leave Craven Cottage. Fulham want around £700,000 for the right-back, who joined from Arsenal in 2004.
