Fulham pair committed to the cause
07 April 2008
Defeat at home to Sunderland leaves Fulham six points shy of the Premier League safety zone. Another setback at Reading on Saturday will almost guarantee Championship football next season, and Fulham have not won away in 33 games.
Despite that bleak prospect Keller said: "I've let the club know that I would definitely be willing to sit down and talk about next year."
And Healy, who came off the bench to score a spectacular goal in Saturday's 3-1 loss to Roy Keane's visitors, insisted: "I want to be part of this, whatever the future is. I am as committed as anybody here."
That is the kind of fillip Fulham boss Roy Hodgson will need as he attempts to lift his squad for the run-in. Since taking charge just after Christmas Hodgson has managed to secure just two wins and he admitted: "I've got to say I'm fairly low at this moment. But we're a bottom team. Maybe I'm expecting too much in expecting them to play like a top team."
