GB rugby internationals Pryce and Reardon bailed in assault case

St Helens stand off Leon Pryce and Warrington full back Stuart Reardon have been arrested after allegedly trying to smash their way into a house in Bradford.
The Great Britain Test stars were charged with assault and using violence to gain entry to the house, believed to be occupied by Reardon's estranged wife.
The two former Bradford players have been asked by their current clubs to explain their alleged actions.
Reardon: Out for the season
Pryce: Outstanding form
Pryce, 26, who has been in outstanding form for club and his country and is due to play against Wigan in the big Super League derby at the JJB Stadium, may well have put his England World Cup place in jeopardy.
Five years ago, before his transfer to St Helens, he pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding after an incident in a Bradford bar but got off with 100 hours of community service.
Pryce is one of the favourites for the coveted 'Man of Steel' award this year and is a key member of the England squad for the World Cup in Australia in October.
But he has done himself no favours after being arrested along with Reardon, also 26, following an incident at around 6am last Sunday morning.
Reardon, who signed a new two-year contract extension with Warrington on Wednesday, is currently recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon and out for the season.
Neither player or their respective clubs would make any comment last night. The pair have been bailed to appear before Bradford magistrates on August 6.
Harlequins prop Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook had a three-match ban for his sending off against Catalans on Saturday reduced by the RFL last night to two games on appeal.
Quins full back Rikki Sheriffe, who had intended to appeal against a one-match suspension, withdrew it before the hearing.
