Szabolcs Huszti and Jan Schlaudraff both scored twice as Hannover hammered
newly-promoted Borussia Monchengladbach 5-1.
That's for starters: Hannover's Szabolcs Huszti celebrates his side's first goal
It could have been worse for Monchengladbach as Huszti also missed a 28th-minute penalty, his effort easily saved by goalkeeper Christofer Heimeroth.
Former Chelsea and Birmingham striker Mikael Forssell set up the second and third goals for Die Roten.
Bochum recorded their first win of the season in a drab affair at the Ruhrstadion as Arminia Bielefeld's misery on the road continued with a 2-0 defeat.
First-half goals from Marcin Mieciel and Marc Pfertzel gave the hosts a comfortable lead at the break and they were never in danger of conceding in a game of few clear-cut chances for either side.
