Glasgow line up All Black

Glasgow could be set to land Scottish rugby's biggest signing since Edinburgh's capture of Todd Blackadder by stealing All Black Darryl Gibson from under the noses of Newport Gwent Dragons.

Sportsmail can reveal 32-year-old Gibson and his agent have been holding talks with both sides over his future after being told by Leicester Tigers that his contract won't be renewed in the summer.

Gibson, who joined Leicester from Canterbury Crusaders four years ago, is being moved out of Welford Road to make way for fellow New Zealand star Aaron Mauger, who will arrive after the World Cup.

Glasgow coach Sean Lineen will give an update on player signings at the announcement of the team to face Ulster in tomorrow night's Magners League game at Ravenhill.

Other names being linked with a move to Glasgow include Western Force scrum half Chris O'Young and London Irish prop Michael Collins.

Meanwhile, Saracens have announced the signing of Scotland fly-half Gordon Ross on a two-year contract from French club Castres.
