The manager will leave the decision to Lampard, who has been training alone for the past two days, but there is no pressure on him to play.
Lampard is still grieving following his mother Pat's death last Thursday and is preparing for her funeral this Friday.

Chelsea solidarity: Lampard's team-mates show their support
Several members of Chelsea's first-team squad, including skipper John Terry, and some club officials who knew her will also be in attendance.
Lampard did not play in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge and Liverpool's visit may be too soon for the midfielder to return to action. Although he remains match fit, he was clearly traumatised when he played in last Tuesday's 1-1 first-leg draw at Anfield and there are doubts whether he will be in the right of frame of mind for the second leg. There is no doubt that the momentum is with Grant following their streaky draw at Anfield and the victory over United. The club took the opportunity to launch their new home kit to coincide with the build up to tomorrow's second leg, but Petr Cech will be in for something of a shock next season. Chelsea's design for Cech's bright orange goalkeeping jersey appears to have been borrowed from the fluorescent jackets usually worn by motorway maintenance workers.
