Ground fear for Dun Doire

Dun Doire, a best-priced 10-1 for Saturday's Grand National, may find the drying ground at Aintree too quick according to his trainer Tony Martin.

He said: "I'd have been delighted if it was run on the ground we had at February time — soft, deep ground — as he's an old-fashioned jumping horse and he doesn't have much speed. It might be too quick for him to get involved and he might not be good enough."

Meanwhile, punters were latching on to a pair of Trevor Hemmings-owned runners, Billyvoddan and Idle Talk, yesterday with bookmakers Coral cutting the latter's price to 16-1 from 20-1 while Billyvoddan's odds was reduced to 20-1 from 25s.
