Gunners to study video following Fergie's fan abuse claim

Arsenal will check CCTV footage and wait for reports from club staff before deciding to take further action against the supporter who was ejected from the stadium following heated exchanges with the Manchester United bench.

Sir Alex Ferguson complained that he and his staff were victims of "disgraceful abuse" from Arsenal fans on Saturday at Emirates Stadium and claimed afterwards there is "absolute danger here".

One home supporter was thrown out of the ground but sources say it has not yet been confirmed what exactly was said and the club will wait for reports from stewards and the stadium manager.

The club feel there is adequate protection for visiting officials around the dugouts and say there has never been an incident of physical confrontation at the stadium since it opened last year.

There is a metal barrier, two rows of clubs officials and stewards separating fans from the area where the visiting manager sits.

Ferguson will also learn this week if he is to face an FA misconduct charge for suggesting that referee Howard Webb favoured the home team during the 2-2 draw.
