Hadden again considering his future as Scotland coach despite record win

Frank Hadden could walk out on Scotland at the end of what he describes as 'a difficult year,' despite steering them to a famous win in Buenos Aires.
The Scotland rugby coach has been under intense pressure since a poor Six Nations campaign and defeat in the first Test against Argentina.
Time to think: Scotland coach Frank Hadden is considering his future
Even though Saturday's victory in the second Test has given him a stay of execution, Hadden says he is not even sure he wants to stay in the job.
The Scottish Rugby Union will delay a review of the coach's future until July, when it is expected they will confirm that he will be in charge for the three autumn Tests against New Zealand, South Africa and Canada.
But Hadden said last night: 'I will think about that in a few weeks. I'm going on holiday now and now is not the time to think about that stuff. There are aspects of the job that are not just very difficult but not all that pleasant and enjoyment is a big part of any job. You have to think about these things.
'The other factor is that it will be up to the SRU board to review my performance and decide whether they want me to continue. It's only right and proper that after every time we play games we get reviewed.'
After the Six Nations campaign Hadden admitted to doing a bit of 'soul searching' before finally deciding he wanted to stay on as Scotland coach and it seems he is going through a similar thought process this time round.
Hadden added that the fact Scotland had won their first official Test in Argentina could not be underestimated and felt the win would help revitalise the rugby scene north of the border.
'The most important thing is the impact that winning has on confidence and self-belief,' he said. 'It is massive and you can't underestimated it. That is why sometimes we get a bit desperate to win.
'We want it so badly for the players and, as coaches, we understand how important winning is. These guys come through a diet of defeat in age-group rugby and are used to getting beaten on a regular basis, so where are they going to get that self-belief from unless they get it at international level?'
Hadden put his side's second Test victory down to their strength in the tackle, their never-say-die attitude and the way they kept their discipline and didn't give away stupid penalties.
However, he was reluctant to put too much praise on Edinburgh fly half Phil Godman, whose inclusion in place of Dan Parks proved to be the deciding factor in the Scotland win.
All he would say when asked about how Godman played was: 'I would not have picked him if I did not think he was capable of playing well.'
The Scotland coach said his decision to take a 30-man squad and a four-strong coaching team plus back up staff was justified by the way his side had performed and won.
'There was nothing unexpected for me on the tour but you are always learning and the day you stop learning is the day you give up. Last year had been a difficult year and is next year going to be as difficult? Who knows?
'But we do have quality people who are prepared to work very hard for their country both on and off the field.'
