Hamed’s help can lift Khan

Amir Khan today revealed how he has been armed for his fight with Mexican great Marco Antonio Barrera by advice from former world champion Naseem Hamed, writes David Smith.

Khan faces a huge test at Manchester's MEN Arena on Saturday when he faces Barrera, the veteran Baby Faced Assassin' who inflicted Hamed's only defeat in Las Vegas nearly eight years ago when he gave his over-confident rival a boxing masterclass.

Hamed was determined that Khan should learn from his loss and he has revealed how he can overcome the former champion.

Khan said: "Naz is a good friend, he's a fighter I've always looked up to and he told me I can go in there and beat Barrera. He told me a few things to do and not to do."
