Hamish looks a fair bet: Turner's Earners - Top tips for Saturday's racing

The Easterby family love a winner at York and HAMISH McGONAGALL (nap, 3.25) can give Tim a valuable success in the Betfair Sprint this afternoon.
The Namid gelding has priceless experience of the Knavesmire courtesy of his victory in a highly competitive handicap at the May meeting.
Sprint star: Hamish McGonagall (right) winning at York last time out
His gritty defeat of Lesson In Humility has been subsequently enhanced by the runner-up's smooth win at Doncaster, while seventh-placed Carleton - who reopposes today - was only just touched off by Ancien Regime in a similar event at Newmarket last time.
The latter did us a favour on that occasion, however his chance is reflected in the price, whereas Hamish McGonagall is still available at 10-1 this morning.
Easterby's charge is yet to truly prove his effectiveness at six furlongs, but he was a respectable second to Calming Influence over course and distance as a juvenile and his conqueror is now rated 107 after winning on his comeback at Newmarket last month.
From a handicapping perspective, a mark of 90 does not appear excessive for Hamish McGonagall who still appears to be thriving and I like the fact he is drawn in the middle so he can track the pace on either side.
Luca Cumani may have tasted disappointment last Saturday in the Epsom Derby when Curtain Call underperformed, but the family have a chance to gain a boost with Ask The Butler in the Queen Mother's Cup (York, 2.15).
Team Cumani have mopped up the last three runnings of the event with Luca's daughter, Francesca, partnering the last two winners.
However, bookmakers are unlikely to take many chances with the impressive Newmarket scorer and PHILANTHROPY could live up to his name for Amy Ryan.
There have been signs of late that father Kevin's stable is beginning to strike top form and the four-year- old looked on the verge of peaking with an excellent effort in a hot handicap at today's venue last time.
He won off the same mark over course and distance last September and could give the likely favourite something to think about. WIBBADUNE (Sandown, 4.15) and BEFORTYFOUR (Leicester, nb, 7.45) are sprinters in great form at present and could easily add to recent gains today Today's lay is Swinging Sixties (York, 4.00).
ROBIN GOODFELLOW'S DOUBLE: Hamish McGonagall (York, nap, 3.25) and Befortyfour (Leicester, 7.45)GIMCRACK'S DOUBLE: Granston (York, nap, 2.50) and Corrybrough (Sandown, 3.40)
CAPTAIN HEATH'S NAP: Ask The Butler (York, 2.15)
FORMCAST SPECIAL BET: Ask The Butler (York, 2.15)
THE WIZARD: Diane's Choice (Sandown, 4.15)
GOODFELLOW'S SUNDAY BEST
MUSAALEM (Doncaster, nap, 3.25) will be suited by the drop to six furlongs on this galloping track and, despite being raised 9lb for his latest win, is taken to score again.DONCASTER: 2.20 Swop; 2.50 Fareer; 3.25 MUSAALEM (nap); 4.00 Eureka Moment; 4.35 Factotum; 5.05 Hits Only Vic.
STRATFORD: 2.10 Golan Way; 2.40 Orfeo Conti; 3.10 Jazz Dance (nb); 3.45 Gallik Dawn; 4.20 Piran; 4.55 Noble Minstrel.
SALISBURY: 2.00Mustajed; 2.30 Soft Shoe Shuffle; 3.00 Crimson Fern; 3.35 Silver Touch; 4.10 Calypso Charms; 4.45 Xtravaganza.
MY BETTING WEEK
ON THE CLOCK - CONDUIT: Posted a sparkling performance to come from last to first in a truly-run handicap at Epsom last Saturday. Watch out for him at Ascot.
AHEAD OF HANDICAPPER - RILEY BOYS: Returned to form at his favourite venue Beverley for James Given (pictured) on Wednesday and could be ready to run up a sequence now he is fairly assessed.
KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR - FIERY LAD: Produced an exhilarating change of gear to score at Navan last Friday and is worth watching out for across the water.
COMPENSATION AWAITS - GALLANTRY: Suffered another agonising defeat at Chester on Tuesday but is certainly capable of landing a good Roodee handicap this term.
