Hammers weighing up new stadium

West Ham will decide by June whether to build a new stadium at the Parcelforce site in east London.

The club have been exploring the possibility of moving to the land near West Ham station, building a 50,000-capacity stadium with the option of extending it to 60,000.

They have an exclusive negotiating arrangement with the London Development Agency which expires in June so look certain to make a decision by then.

But two areas of concern are the gas holders on the site, which are listed structures, plus the possibility of a new bus depot.

Either would limit use of the site for West Ham, who could then consider upgrading Upton Park.

Meanwhile, striker Freddie Sears, 18, who scored on his debut last week, is set to stay in the squad for Saturday's trip to Everton.
