Heinze: I'll take United to court

Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze is ready to go to court to ensure his dream move to Liverpool goes through.

The Argentinia is livid with comments from his manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who said earlier in the week: "I can assure you that Liverpool will not be getting Gabriel Heinze."

According to the Daily Mirror, Heinz is prepared to take the matter further.

The player's advisors claim the matter is out of Ferguson's hands because they were given a written mandate in May to find a club, any club, prepared to pay £6million for his services.

Heinze was told he could go to any club who matched that valuation.

On Monday, Liverpool made a £6.3m offer for Heinze which was rejected by United. Reds boss Raphael Benitez is keen to get a new left-back and he is set to wait for Heinze, whose place has been taken at United by Patrice Evra.
