Henson on the rails over drunken train antics

Ospreys star Gavin Henson will face internal disciplinary action after he was questioned by police about drunken behaviour on a train.

The 25-year-old Wales international was travelling with friends from London to Cardiff on Sunday evening when a number of passengers complained about their rowdiness.

Henson was one of four men spoken to by officers from British Transport Police when the train stopped in the Welsh capital.

The incident came just hours after Henson scored all Ospreys' points in a 19-8 victory over Harlequins in the EDF Energy Cup.

The player, who recently won back his place in the Wales side after two seasons plagued by injury, could now face further questioning from police.

Ospreys director of rugby Kevin Hopkins said: "This is something we are looking into and it will be dealt with internally."

The club earlier issued a statement apologising for the incident on Henson's behalf.

It read: "After playing a crucial part in what proved to be a particularly satisfying victory for the Ospreys on Sunday afternoon, Gavin made the return journey from London via train with friends who had attended the match in support of the Ospreys.

"Spirits were high amongst the group given the nature of the victory, and the group apologises for any inconvenience caused to fellow passengers."
