Hodgson and Flood battered by Barbarians
02 June 2008
Hodgson required 13 stitches beneath his left eye after a clash of heads with flanker Jerry Collins and Flood was forced off after a high tackle.
Andrew, who will lead the two-Test tour, said: "They will both be fine. The initial reports are that they will both be fit to travel. It was a physical work-out, that's for sure."
The physical side of the game continued after the final whistle, with a reported bust up taking place in the tunnel. It involved Nick Easter, the England captain, and Australian lock Justin Harrison, who, according to one eye witness, came to blows.
Andrew said: "The Barbarians were determined to stop us playing and they succeeded. In terms of the All Blacks, it has got little bearing. The Barbarians have a right to do what they want. They caused us problems in a very physical contest."
