Hodgson fears another relegation battle ahead

Roy Hodgson has told his Fulham side they face yet another battle to avoid the drop.

A 2-1 defeat in the season-opening game at newly-promoted Hull - after they had led through Seol Ki-Hyoen - eradicated any lingering euphoria from Fulham's great escape last term.

Manager Hodgson said: "It's going to be a long, hard season and we're expecting a tough fight against relegation. I can only hope it will be less tough than last year."

Meanwhile, Fulham have agreed a fee of £500,000 with Ipswich for Moritz Volz, while Rangers are set to pay £3million for Steven Davis.
