Home favourite Pedrosa roars to victory as Toseland claims sixth

Spaniard Dani Pedrosa won his home race on the Repsol Honda as MotoGP world champion Casey Stoner suffered a day to forget.

Pedrosa won from Fiat Yamaha team-mates Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo as Stoner twice went off course into the gravel traps but recovered to finish 11th on the Marlboro Ducati.

Respectable performance: Toseland finished sixth despite suffering with a heavy cold

Britain's James Toseland shook off the effects of a heavy cold to claim sixth on the Tech 3 Yamaha.

Pedrosa now heads the overall standings ahead of Lorenzo, Rossi and Stoner with Toseland in sixth.
