Horsham denied eighth-second penalty and Farrell nets twice but Swans class tells in the end

Horsham striker Lee Farrell scored twice but his side lost 6-2 to Swansea in last night's FA Cup replay.

The deaf, mute forward put the visitors ahead after 20 minutes, but Darren Pratley equalised. Farrell then restored the Ryman Premier League side's lead, rolling the ball into an empty net following a mistake by keeper Dorus De Vries.

Lee-sy does it: Farrell celebrates his second goal

But three goals in five minutes towards the end of the first half from Leon Britton, Jason Scotland and Ferris Bodde took the game away from Horsham.

Andy Robinson and Warren Feeney scored in the second half, and Swansea will face another non-league club in the third round, Havant and Waterlooville of the Blue Square South.

Horsham never gave up fighting against a full-stength Swansea side and should have have a dream start when Lee Carney was clearly fouled in the penalty area by Austin after just eight seconds but referee Pat Miller did not award a spot-kick.

Swansea: De Vries, Austin, Tate, Lawrence, Rangel, Bodde, Britton, Pratley, Robinson, Anderson, Scotland. Subs: O'Leary, Orlandi, Bauza, Butler, Feeney.

Horsham: Seuke, Myall, Brake, Graves, Hemsley, Carney, Mingle, Taylor, Charman, Austin, Farrell. Subs: Mansfield, French, Howard, Salaam, Payne.

Referee: Pat Miller (Bedfordshire)
