Hughes to stay at City but Corluka edging towards White Hart Lane

manager Mark Hughes has declared he will not turn his back on the chaos at his new club - but there is renewed uncertainty about the future of Croatia defender Vedran Corluka.

With City facing a financial crisis and Hughes short of cash he desperately needs for new players, the former Blackburn manager has endured a tough few days.

And although it is now possible that Corluka's move to could be back on, Hughes has moved to end talk about his own future.

'I am not going anywhere and I don't anticipate going anywhere,' said Hughes.

'There is a job to do here and I am looking forward to it. I am the guy who makes the decisions in relation to the football.'

Sources have suggested Corluka had presented a transfer request to Hughes. City did not comment.
