Peter Fox was the surprise call-up by England coach Tony Smith for Friday's Gillette Fusion International against France in Toulouse.
The 23-year-old Hull KR winger, who was loaned to York City Knights by Smith when they were both at Leeds Rhinos three years ago is joined in the squad by 18-year-old Castleford loose forward Joe Westerman.
Call-up: Peter Fox
'Peter gets his opportunity because Gareth Raynor is recovering from injury,' said Smith ahead of the pre-World Cup international.
Smith has named six Leeds Rhinos players and seven from St Helens in his squad, reflecting their dominance of the Super League in the last two seasons.
Smith will name his starting line-up when the squad arrives in France tomorrow.
ENGLAND squad: Peacock (capt), Burrow, Ellis, McGuire, Senior, Sinfield (Leeds), Fa'asavalu, Gardner, Graham, Pryce, Roby, Wellens, Wilkin (St Helens), Burgess (Bradford), Fox (Hull KR), Gleeson, Morley, Westwood (Warrington), Westerman (Castleford).
