Getting shirty: Murty (right) has vowed to track down Ronaldo's jersey
Murty had beaten winger Stephen Hunt to ask the Premier League's top scorer for his shirt after the final whistle at the Madejski Stadium.
The 33-year-old Reading defender said: "Someone had it away, and when I find out who it is, it's going to be bloody.
"I'm not telling you who I think it was because that might give them a warning, but I have a list of suspects.
"Playing against Ronaldo, I recognised what a great player he is. He was the nearest player to me and I said, 'Can I have your shirt?' And he said, 'Yeah, I'm knackered'.
"But I went for a shower, came back, and lo and behold it's gone. Someone's half-inched it.
"It's someone from this club, that's all I'll say. "
Ronaldo, who had scored United second goal, expressed his shock at the theft. "What, someone stole it?" he asked. "I gave the shirt to him and I don't know what happened after that."
