I hope this is first of many trophies at Spurs for me, says Berbatov

Dimitar Berbatov has given a strong indication he will stay at Tottenham for the long-term after winning his first trophy with the club.

Berbatov, who struck a fine penalty kick to cancel out Didier Drogba's free-kick to take the final into extra time, has been constantly linked with a move away from White Hart Lane.

But the Bulgarian international has set his sights on winning many more trophies with the club and said: "I am here, I want to win things and hopefully this is the first of many for me. It means a lot to beat Chelsea, they are a fantastic team.

"When the final whistle blew it was an indescribable feeling. Everyone was happy and it was great to see so many smiles. It's a major trophy and we wanted European football again.

"This is our moment, but on Tuesday we start again. We have important games ahead of us. We have big goals ahead of us. The manager is a winner and he knows how to win things. This is his first trophy and I hope it's the first of many."
