I won't play dirty to win, vows Massa

Lewis Hamilton was today promised a clean fight for the world championship by Felipe Massa.

The rivals go head-to-head for the title in Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix with Hamilton seven ahead in the points table and only needing to finish fifth to claim the crown.

But the McLaren ace will be wary of Massa who drove into him and forced his car into a spin during the recent race in Japan.

That incident contributed to Hamilton failing to score at the Fuji Speedway. Were that to happen at Interlagos in Sao Paulo this weekend, and Massa steered his Ferrari to first or second on home tarmac, Hamilton would be robbed of the championship.

Yet Massa insisted: "Playing dirty has never been part of my game. I don't want anything to do with it.

"The only thing on my mind is winning the race. The rest does not depend on me. If I am champion, it will be a dream come true. If not, that's okay, I will try again next year."
