I'm in strapping form and ready to lead Chelsea in Moscow, vows fired-up John Terry

Chelsea captain John Terry today warned Manchester United his elbow injury is a thing of the past and he is already looking forward to lifting the Champions League trophy next week.

Terry has made a remarkable recovery having been stretchered off against Bolton on Sunday after dislocating his elbow following an accidental clash with team-mate Petr Cech.

The England star trained a day earlier than expected yesterday with his arm strapped, but is set to take the field today for the club's next session without any protection.

Terry insists nothing will stop him from helping Chelsea come out on top against United now.

He said: "My arm is fine. I have been wearing a bit of strapping on it for a few days just in case I fell and jarred it, but it has been feeling much better over the last 48 hours. I hope to train without the strapping today and get on with it."

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed his side will have the edge in Moscow after beating Chelsea to the Premier League title by just two points.

However, Terry believes Chelsea's late challenge in the final months of the campaign, which included a win over United, has shown they are the form team and he feels they are more hungry for success after losing three Champions League semi-finals in the past four years.

He added: "It would be a dream come true to lift the trophy. We have a chance having lost out before to Monaco and Liverpool in the semi-finals.

"I don't want to say we have thrown it away again. We are in great form at the moment and everything is going our way."

Meanwhile, Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill is reported today to have identified Steve Sidwell as a potential replacement for Gareth Barry should he leave for Liverpool.

The midfielder has started only 13 matches for Chelsea since his free transfer from Reading last summer.
