Stuart Law has spoken out for the rebel Indian Cricket League players who are facing Champions League bans by insisting: '"I'm going to play and there's nothing anyone can do to stop me."

Defiant: Lancashire¿s Law
Stuart Law has spoken out for the rebel Indian Cricket League players who are facing Champions League bans by insisting: '"I'm going to play and there's nothing anyone can do to stop me."
The Lancashire captain will return from injury tomorrow in his side's Twenty20 Cup opener against Leicestershire as the 15 county sides who employ ICL players prepare to defy the threats emerging from India that they will be excluded from this year's inaugural Champions League if they win through by reaching the final at the Rose Bowl on July 26.
The counties were last night still seeking clarification from the ECB as to where they stand after Lalit Modi, chairman of the officially-sanctioned Indian Premier League, said 'no team that fields an ICL player will be allowed to play in the Champions League, with no exceptions'.
That will not discourage Law, who is contracted to return to the ICL in October to play for the Chennai Superstars.
He said: "We have had nothing in writing to say that I cannot play and I can't see why we should. What Lalit Modi has forgotten is Twenty20 was invented in England - the Indian Board didn't cook up this golden goose and they shouldn't be able to dictate the rules.
"There are no rules for the Champions League yet so how can anybody disqualify us? All I'm trying to do is earn my living in this big, bad world."
His stance is likely to be backed by all the counties with ICL players. Cricket Australia has been charged with formulating the Champions League rules by the time of the ICC's annual meeting on June 29 but what Law and the others fear is that any bans on ICL players may be backdated.
