It's extra time for Beckham...but Wembley give Ronaldinho the boot

David Beckham had a private training session on Thursday in a bid to make a glorious England comeback. He spent an hour on a pitch at the England team hotel in Hertfordshire practising the free-kicks which are his speciality.

But Ronaldinho and his fellow Brazilians got the boot from the Wembley pitch on Thursday night when head groundsman Steve Welch called time on their one-hour session.

To the amazement of the South Americans, Welch stepped in to protect the turf ahead of tonight's international.

Brazil coach Dunga, who expects the pitch to cut up and be 'difficult', wanted to carry on but Welch would have none of it, pointing to his watch and forcing the superstars to abandon their session.
