The striker was recalled for the home clash after missing two games with the problem but lasted just 43 minutes.
Kenny Jackett admitted he made a mistake by fielding the 20-year-old. The Millwall manager said: "Playing him was a risk but his injury is a funny one. It's a tight hamstring, not a pull, and we need to scan it to see what's happening. Hopefully it's not too serious."
Jay Simpson had a number of chances for Millwall, including scuffing the ball wide with the goal at his mercy, while Ahmet Brkovic hit the bar.
Despite only getting a point, Jackett said: "There's a lot of promise at Millwall and I feel there could be a walloping for someone."
