ALEX STEPNEY: ROBINSON

"He made one mistake against Germany when he was unlucky. It was a bad backpass and a bobble against Croatia.

"It will destroy his confidence if he is dropped."

CHRIS WOODS: ROBINSON

"It's a difficult one, but I would stick with Paul. Everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon because of a couple of goals that shouldn't have gone in.

"A show of faith wouldn't go amiss right now."

NIGEL MARTYN: ROBINSON

"The Paul Robinson I saw against Germany wasn't the player I know. I've never seen him in that position for a cross.

"Maybe somebody has been getting into his head. I'd like to see him carry on. He has to believe he has been the best over the past two years."

DAVE BEASANT: NEITHER

"Scott Carson deserves his chance. It is a big game to bring him in for, but I think he is capable of meeting the challenge.

"Paul Robinson played very well against us (Fulham) last weekend but still conceded three."
